April 16, 2010 - 303 Sex Issue Release

Last night I attended another one of 303s release parties... aroused by a theme of sex, April's issue couldn't have had a better location: Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret (16th & Arapahoe) lannies.com - it was a gorgeous evening in the Mile-High City - A brisk breeze filled Colorado's atmosphere - Denverites were thriving everywhere I looked, socially welcoming the changing of the seasons.

Planned Parenthood - 303 - and the lovely Miss Lannie have teamed up to raise awareness about sex.  1 in 2 sexually active young people will get an STD by 25 - most won't know it (Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains pprm.org

Lannie's resume is quite extensive, having been in the business of entertainment for more than 30 years, her vision is simple and inspiring! Her establishment invites its customers to leave their worries at home and celebrate the joy of being human.  Color, music, laughter, and joy! - "Being a sensual and sexual person is not immoral, being dishonest and and irresponsible about sex is." Lannie Garrett (owner, Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret) I had the opportunity to witness her spectacle on stage... she connected with her audience on so many levels, and gave a colorful performance.

Laura Standley (Editor in chief, 303 Magazine) and her main squeeze Paul cherish some boxes of condoms provided by Planned Parenthood - the cabaret was filled with their accountable message.
The issues attracts its readers to the core of its appeal - both in beautiful black and white photography, and staggering statistics.  Swinging, sex toys, and fetishes offer interesting perspectives... Denver has quite the selection of aphrodisiac cuisine.  I am a fan of oysters myself...
One of Lannie's burlesque performer's... showing some attitude and loving it!

These ladies were sweeping the floor offering the most delectable cupcakes! yourstrulycupcake.com

I had the pleasure of meeting Charles Hildreth (Photographer) and his lovely counter-part.  charleshildreth.daportfolio.com
I love to see local clothing - DVLP is a clothing company formed in Denver, formed in 2004 its fans are growing, and adamantly sport their classic and tailored fits. developclothing.com
Mussu is one of Denver's local DJ's - his style is classic and comfortable.  Looking good doesn't have to be painful, having lived in Europe for quite some time, his style has evolved with vintage claim. I love his color sequence, paired with a neck tie and cardigan... I commend his efforts in style, and once again find hope for Denver fashion.
By far the best dressed man at the event - it's amazing because I just wrote about this.  To see its representation in physical form was amazing.  Everything about this picture exhibits class... black is timeless and he wears it well.  Notice his attention to detail: tie bar, handkerchief and tailored form.  Upon speaking with him, it's no wonder he carries himself so well, a gentlemen in its truest form.

Another local clothing designer, Julian Donaldson (owner of geniuzink.com) and Becky Laschanzky smile for the camera.  One of the most genuine people I have ever met.

My night was so much fun! I love connecting with Denver's backbone.  I want to thank 303 Magazine for such a special night, I know I've only been to two events, but each one keeps getting better - keep it up!
