February 16, 2010 - I am 5280

Fondly referred to as the “Mile-Hi CityDenver Colorado nestles itself between the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains.  Founded in 1858, James William Denver was on to something good… as the Pikes Peak Gold Rush charged its beginnings, thousands would come, stumbling upon more than just gold.  A city destined for savvy natives, and a community of forward thinking.  Denver would pride itself for more than just its four seasons and diverse culture.  It would set the standard for creative beginnings and a healthy lifestyle.
I have lived in Colorado for the past 15 years sharing its contagious resources.  As a native Californian, subjected to smog and hurried habits, Denver was very refreshing.  As I continue to enjoy its fruits, I am frequently reminded of its spirit of kindness, and melting pot of original personality.  Complimented with unique potential, there’s no mistaking why this city continues to grow through vitality and creative minds.  Still embracing a ripe past, Mayor Hickenlooper of Denver says it best:  Denver is a city that will be far more defined by its future than its past. “Our city continues to shine! Hosting the World Series and Democratic National Convention, accolades continue to mount and strongly backed by locals.
Before JNava’s inception we contemplated our new beginnings… tossing the idea of moving elsewhere.  Thankfully the decision was made to stay, realizing Denver’s gifts were too much to pass.  I have grown to cherish this town, loving all of its qualities and small business opportunities.  The path is slowly forming, paving new relationships worth nurturing and feeding for the future.  I am proud to call myself a Coloradan, a citizen adding to this abundant populace…. I am Denver.
All the best,
VP
