Alright folks, as many of you are unaware… Earth month is knocking on our doorsteps. Since its beginnings in April 1970 and strongly encouraged by Senator Gaylord Nelson, Earth Day was several years in the making. Gratefully attributed to Mr. Nelson’s efforts, his impact kindled a chain reaction in the political mainstream and general public. As this fuse continued to ignite… politicians and local communities formed a band of awareness 20 million strong! Today as we look at April 22nd, courage continues to fuel a brighter future for our planet and a beautiful place in which we call “home.”
Shortly after this environmental stimulation, Aveda establishes itself in 1978. Their mission: Striving to set the example of environmental leadership and responsibility-“not just in the world of beauty, but around the world.” This focus would provide an industry of devoted clients, and a business fortified in Mother Nature. You could say they represented everything Senator Gaylord fought for! Now a successful pursuit, their products and resume are filtered throughout the world. 2010 tops more than 30 years of beauty, environmental responsibility and leadership.
Although a month early, JNava Clothing & Geniuz Ink joins these efforts with Aveda for a better world and an awareness of environmental consciousness. As the Aveda Salon institute continues a tradition since 1990… this year our focus is to better the Clean Water Foundation. As much of this event is in showcasing our clothing lines, there is a greater goal in profiting funds towards this eco-friendly bedrock. We are excited for this year, and more appreciative of the opportunity in working with such a veteran organization. Our fashion show will encompass a history of passion and attitude.
